1. The acronym CAN'T belongs in the Southwest


2. The states you can remember with the acronym CAN'T are California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas


3. CAN'T states are near the border, so you can remember them with the rule:  "You can't cross the border without your passport!


4. The acronym you can use to remember the states above CAN'T is NUCK which sounds like duck.


5.  The Acronym NUCK Stands for Nevada, Utah, Colorado and Kansas.


6. The state Nevada is shaped like the letter “V” in the corner.

















7. You can try to remember NUCK as knock. Like a duck knocking to see if it can cross the border into Mexico. Duck knocking = NUCK.


8. All of the states that are above and under Kansas have a K in them. The K states are North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Oklahoma.


9. Oklahoma looks like MIMAL’s frying pan. It has an oak handle.

10. Next to North Dakota is Montana that has a little irregular M shaped border on the south west side of it. Montana is named after the Spanish word la montaña which means mountain. So think M shape border = Montana = Mountain.















11. Next to Montana is Idaho which can looks kind of like an I.
















12. If you keep going west of Idaho you will reach the Pacific Ocean unless you say W.O. and stop at the two states you travel to before you meet the ocean. The states W.O. are Washington and Oregon.


13. California, Oregon, and Washington spell COW. The COW is on the West Coast next to the Pacific Ocean.


14. The corner of Idaho and Montana make the top of a Y. This is how you can remember WY for Wyoming. Montana is always saying, “Idaho I don’t know Wyoming”.

15. MIMAL will help you remember the states that split the U.S. in two! Minnesota is his hat, Iowa where his eye is, is his head, his torso is made up of Missouri, his pants are made of Arkansas which is right next to Kansas (Ar-Kansas) , and his boot is Louisiana which is shaped like an L.















16. MIMAL is a chef and he is serving up (Kentucky) Fried Chicken on ten trays that have a tendency (Tennessee) to stick together.


17. On MIMAL’s back he has a backpack with a can of soup that is pouring into his oak handled pan. Kansas is the can of soup pouring into his oak handled pan Oklahoma.














18. MIMAL has to wear a Michigan mitten because the got ill (Illinois) in (Indiana) Ohio.



















19. MIMAL has actually been traveling with someone this whole time! You just can’t see her because he is in front of her. She is his cousin her name is Mad-I-son Wisconsin and she is whistling. 





































20. Another thing you didn’t know about MIMAL is that he had a flare gun. He lost it in Florida.
















21. MIMAL is traveling to the Main Point of the North East of the United States, Maine. It is the Maine place to be in Augusta.

















22. MIMAL picked up a MAG azine to read in MISSISPI, ALABAMA, and Georgia. While he was reading it and balancing his ten tray chicken, he must have dropped his flare gun in Florida.
















 23. He came across the famous Carolina twins of the south on his way to the Maine point. They are North and South Carolina.
















24. He kept heading north and there he met Mama Virginia and her wittle baby West Virginia, wittle West Virginia looks kind of like a frog!






25. MIMAL now found himself in a strange merry land where people were happy to live in a sate shaped like a skinny M. He was now in Maryland.












26. He was glad that he wasn’t in Delaware because was a little cold and they expect what you wear to be Dele-cate in Delaware.


27. Next to Delaware there was nothing there, so MIMAL picked up a pencil and drew a rectangle. He called it Pennsylvania because he drew it with a pencil.


28. Hooked around Pennsylvania was New Jersey it was shaped kind of like a J.


29. North of his new rectangle was a land shaped like a Y so he called it New York.












30. To the right of that he saw tiny Rhode Island, but luckily it was connected to New York by Connecticut and did not float away.















31. When he saw a strange state with a weird hook like arm trying to bring in as much mass as it could from the ocean. He knew he had reached Massachusetts.















32. Vermont was easy to recognize it was shaped like a V. He went through New Hampshire shaped like a lower-case h and he finally reached the Maine Point of the Northeast he sat down and pet some lobsters. The end.
